I got lots of action shots of the karate kids doing backflips, the dogs running, and a couple shots of cute families watching various events, but this one is my favorite of the day.
On the Edge
One of my loan officers is one of the guys in charge of organizing the Summerset Festival. It's very much a family sort of festival, with a mix of lots of random things like karate and tae kwon do demonstrations, Irish step dancing, flyball races and disc throwing for dogs, lots of craft booth shopping (where I found a Christmas present for Kadean quite by accident), a fishing derby, various bands, and a sort of skateboard expo/competition. That's just what I remember off the top of my head. I decided to go take photos, and after seeing the gallery on the web site I decided he needed to keep them. I'm nothing special when it comes to event photos, but man... he needs them. The haul is heavy on the skateboarders, but it's the sort of thing that can be used to market to a particular demographic which I'm sure gets missed since "family friendly" doesn't tend to play well to teenagers who would rather chew off their left arm than spend more than twenty minutes with their parents.
