The Trail's End Motel. One of the last of the 1960s era motor inns along Colfax, which was once the main route through Denver into the mountains. When I moved here almost four years ago, a good number of them still had working original neon. Amongst my favorites were the Rocky Mountain and the Big Bunny. Today the Mountain and the Bunny are open for business but apparently not interested in fixing their signs. The Trail's End is one of the last vintage signs still lit, and it, too, is dying.
