Kitty Customs Inspection
So there's the tip of a nail that pokes up through one of the boards on my balcony, and my foot always seems to find it as I step down onto it from the living room. It doesn't stick up enough to maim my soles, but it's supremely annoying. And when Kadean was here on Sunday evening, running his daily marathon, I realized I really needed to do something about it. It's not in my power to remove it, but I thought a little throw rug might cover it up well. So I headed to Kohl's on my lunch break and found this great colorful piece, woven from recycled fabrics, marked down to $5. It worked out perfectly. No more nails poking my feet! I was trying to take a picture of it when the local customs official, also known as Her Royal Fluffiness Miss Sorcha, dropped by to make sure it was up to code.
