Dad and I headed out at 9:30am, ran an errand and grabbed an early lunch in Rockford, then struck out for Milwaukee. We arrived much sooner than was necessary, but this proved to be an unexpected boon since I had arrived early enough to be put on standby for the earlier Denver flight. So I arrived in Denver about two hours sooner than was initially scheduled. Craziness!
This also meant a last minute rearrangement of the details of my ride home from the airport, which resulted in some extra time spent at DIA. I had packed my camera bag as my purse, so I took my time getting to my baggage carousel, stopping to take photos and wondering if Homeland Security would be tapping my shoulder anytime soon. This photo is a fountain located in the main terminal, where people wait to meet their freshly-landed compadres. I liked the light on the holiday decorations lurking behind the jetstreams of water.
Interestingly, the security guys in Milwaukee ran my camera bag through the scanner twice, still didn't like how it looked, and decided to do a manual search, wiping it down with some kind of cloth that I'm guessing detects explosive residue.
