Cold, Hot and Cold Again
|
My co-workers called me over to the window and demanded that I take a photo of this... the ice on the roof was melting and dripping onto the bushes below the eaves, where the water once again froze. It was warm enough that I went outside without a coat and sat down on the rock next to our little ice sculpture for a few minutes. Whenever they do this, I tend to humor them and then do nothing whatsoever with the resulting photos since they are generally not very good - too much pavement or a customer's car in the background, the parking lot lights or some power lines marring a colorful sunset, that sort of thing. I do almost like this one, though. The light is good and the sidewalk is cropped out, and I like the way the composition is punched up a little by the spot of red berry.
