Tonight I went to see the Murrays for Christmas stuff. Molly the dog was just beside herself that I was there. I am her favorite! So much so that she lost all sense of etiquette and couldn't restrain herself from jumping up on me for a good half hour after I arrived. We had dinner and exchanged our gifts. I absconded with a gorgeous red and purple throw from Pottery Barn and a colorful throw pillow to match my new sofa. Danny also gave me a copy of 1,000 Places To See Before You Die, which looks like a really neat book for a travel buff, even for a wannabe like myself.
The photo is Aunt Mary with Molly, and the Murray's Christmas tree. I'm told that it's a Colorado tree, which explains the sparse Charlie Brown look, and they didn't want to overload it with tons of ornaments. I think it looks just right, elegantly rustic and very charming.
