A Day at Midway
|
I asked Liss to drop me off at Midway several hours before my flight because I had anticipated that the airport would be a zoo the first Sunday after Christmas as everyone flew home in time to go back to work on Monday morning. Boy was I wrong! Not only was the check-in line for Frontier non-existent, but I was actually there too early to check-in! A counter agent pointed me in the direction of some seats along a window, which is where I took this picture with my BlackBerry.
Getting checked in was a fiasco. Did you know that if you don't use the outbound half of your round-trip ticket, they cancel your reservation for the return flight? I had to explain to the agent that I decided to fly out early, but that changing the reservation was more expensive than a one-way ticket. There was much nervous lip-biting, but in the end I wound up with a boarding pass and a seat assignment. After that, I spent most of my time in the Irish pub watching the Bears game. It was a good way to pass the time.
